Cheat: Change Weather & Time of Day

To randomly change the weather and time of day, break out your cell phone and insert the following number: (468)-555-0100.

Cheat: Adjust Your Wanted Level

To get rid of Niko’s wanted level, insert the following number into your cell phone: (267)-555-0100. To add stars to Niko’s wanted level, insert this number instead: (267)-555-0150. Keep in mind that this will disable your ability to acquire some achievements.

Cheat: All Secret Locations

Head to the internet café (or wherever you can access the internet) and insert the URL www.whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com. If inserted properly, you’ll be brought to an in-game message board containing maps of secret locations in the game. Check it out!

Cheat: Refill Health, Armor & Ammo

To refill Niko’s health and to give him some fresh armor, insert the following number into your cell phone: (362)-555-0100. If you want to give him health, fresh armor and refill all ammunition, insert this number instead: (482)-555-0100. Keep in mind that this will disable your ability to acquire some achievements.

Cheat: Spawn Cars

Any time you’re outside, break out your cell phone and insert the following phone numbers to unlock the vehicles listed.

 • Annihilator (Helicopter) – (359)-555-0100
 • Cognoscenti (Car) – (227)-555-0142
 • Comet (Car) – (227)-555-0175
 • FIB Buffalo (Car) – (227)-555-0100
 • Jetmax (Boat) – (938)-555-0100

 • Sanchez (Car) – (625)-555-0150
 • Super GT (Car) – (227)-555-0168
 • Turismo (Car) – (227)-555-0147
Cheat: Weapon Batch 1

To unlock a baseball bat, grenades, M4, MP5, pistol, RPG and sniper rifle, insert the following number into your cell phone: (486)-555-0100. Keep in mind that this will disable your ability to acquire some achievements.

Cheat: Weapon Batch 2

To unlock an AK-47, knife, Molotov Cocktails, pistol, RPG, sniper rifle and Uzi, insert the following number into your cell phone: (486)-555-0150. Keep in mind that this will disable your ability to acquire some achievements.

Unlockable: Statue of Happiness Shirt

Head over to the Statue of Happiness and climb up as far as you can go. Head around the left side of the statue from where you entered. When you do this, the game will pause briefly and load a new shirt that your character will be wearing, a nice souvenir for visiting the statue!

Unlockable: GTA3 Outfit

At one point in the game, you’re given an option to kill Dwayne or Playboy X, and you must choose one or the other. If you kill Playboy X, you can use his loft and change clothes there. Amongst your change of clothes will be the outfit from GTA3 — a tight black jacket and green cargo pants.

Hint: Stunt Jump Locations

The map below represents the location of all of the stunt jumps in the game.

Hint: Health Locations

The map below represents the location of all of the health packs in the game.

Hint: Armor Locations

The map below represents the location of all of the armor in the game.

Hint: Pigeon Locations

The two maps below represent the location of all of the pigeons in the game.

Hint: Restart A Dead Car

If your car gets horribly damaged and stalls or refuses to start, call 911 on your cell phone. When they pick up, hang up your phone, and your car should start once more!

Hint: Free Taxi Rides

Here’s a great way to get a free taxi fare. Hail a taxi and get inside, and head to your destination. Right before you get to your destination, bust out the back window and point your gun out of the window (using the corresponding controls). Doing so will freak the taxi driver out. He’ll stop the car and run away, leaving you near your destination without forcing you to pay for the ride.

Hint: Easy Money

Head to an ATM anywhere in the city, and cause a traffic jam in the area. Wait for someone to approach the ATM and take money out of it, and then eliminate that person. The traffic jam should ensure that no ambulance can reach the injured person, so if you run a short distance away and return, you can grab the money that dead person dropped over and over again.

Hint: Access Used Cheats Easily

Almost always, when you enter a cheat into your cell phone, you can access it automatically from the phone’s main menu (“Cheats”), so you don’t have to enter these obscure phone numbers more than once.

Hint: 100% Completion

Below is a list of how to reach 100% completion, and what everything in the game is worth (by percentage).

 • Ninety Story/Procedural Missions – 68%
 • Acquire each friend’s special ability and do their activities – 10%
 • Win at each activity and mini-game – 5%
 • Find all random characters and complete their missions – 5%
 • Kill all thirty wanted persons – 2.5%
 • Complete all twenty vigilante crimes – 2.5%
 • Complete all fifty stunt jumps – 2.5%
 • Eliminate all two-hundred pigeons – 2.5%
 • Complete all thirty car thefts – 2%
Hint: Long-Lasting Fire Truck

Fire trucks are awesome vehicles to use to cause complete and utter destruction in Liberty City. But, even these vehicles are susceptible to damage. Oddly, if the fire truck catches on fire and is about to explode, you can actually utilize the fire truck’s very own water source to put its own fire out. Nice!

Hint: Identify Unknown Songs

If a song is playing on your radio and you want to identify the artist and song title, insert (948)-555-0100 in your phone. You’ll receive a text message with the information you seek.

Hint: Friendship Perks

To unlock the perks of friendship with any given person below, reach the friendship level listed.

Brucie – Brucie likes to bowl, drink, eat, go to strip clubs, shows, helirides and boating. If you get his friendship level up to 70%, you can call Brucie and he’ll dispatch a helicopter to your location, allowing you to utilize it as you’d like.

Dwayne – Dwayne likes to go to strip clubs, eat, drink, go to shows and bowl. If you get his friendship level up to 60%, you can call Dwayne and he’ll send you a car full of gang members that will follow you and help you out as you need them.

Little Jacob – Little Jacob likes to play darts, go to shows, play billiards, drink, eat, and go to strip clubs. If you get his friendship level up to 70%, you can call Little Jacob and he’ll drive a car to your location full of guns that you can purchase from him.

Packie – Packie likes to go to strip clubs and shows, play darts, drink, bowl and play billiards. If you get his friendship level up to 75%, you can call Packie and he’ll make you a potent car bomb that you can use as you need it.

Roman – Roman likes to go bowling, play darts, go drinking, eat, play billiards, go to shows and to strip clubs. If you get his friendship level up to 60%, you can call Roman and he’ll send you a free cab to use anywhere in the city.

Hint: Losing the Cops

No matter the extent of your wanted level, if you can make it back to one of your safe houses and go to your bed to save, the cops will be automatically called off. You don’t even have to actually save – you can just access the save menu and then cancel out. As long as you reach this menu, then you won’t have to worry about the cops chasing you once you go back outside.

Easter Egg: Prank Calls

Here’s something funny to try. During your adventure through Liberty City, you may find phone numbers written in inconspicuous places, such as on the side of a building or in the subway. If you dial these numbers, you’ll usually get someone on the other end who you can subsequently prank.

Easter Egg: Statue of Happiness

Head to the Statue of Happiness on Happiness Island via helicopter. Have the helicopter drop you off on the very top of the statue. You’ll find a sign up there that states “No Hidden Content Beyond This Point”, but it’s a lie. If you head inside of the statue from this area, you’ll find an actual beating heart inside the statue. How ridiculously creepy!

Easter Egg: Fire Truck Madness

If you boost a fire truck, press the fire button while driving around. This will allow you to shoot the super-powerful water cannon at anyone around you. Watching people react to getting shot with high-speed water is hilarious.

Unlockable: Special Bowling Ball
You must achieve pro level on the bowling game.
Unlockable: Tennis court
At the warning screen after selecting characters, hold down 2.
Hint – Barrier Strike
For the ‘Power Throws’ training game in bowling, turn either left or right until there are four red bars pointing in the direction of your choice across the bowling line. This may not always work, especially with the big numbers of pins but this will almost always give you a strike. Feel free to experiment with different numbers of red bars across the bowling line since three and four almost always work for me.
Hint – 91 Strike
In the “Power Throws” training game for bowling, you might notice 2 red buttons at the end of the alley – 1 left and 1 right. When you get to the final bowl for 91 pins, you can bowl the ball along the top of the barrier on either side and hit this button.

Move your Mii all the way to the left or right, and turn the aim 2 or 3 clicks towards the barrier. Let go of the ball at the highest point possible, with just a bit of spin to keep the ball on the barrier.

If successful, you will hear a click, the screen will shake and all the pins will fall down.

Mii Parade
You can add more Miis in Parade and audiences. Use Wii Sports to do it:

1. Make about 10 Mii’s.

2. Transfer those Mii’s to your Wiimote.

3. Delete the Mii’s that are transfered to the Wiimote out of the plaza.

4. Start up Wii Sports.

5 When given the option of which Mii to use during gameplay choose the option to get the Mii from the Wii Remote.

6. After viewing the Mii’s on the Wiimote back out by using the B button.

7. Exit out of Wii Sports and back onto the Wii Menu.

Now check the Mii parade and all 10 of the Miis that were on the Wiimote are in the parade. Now if you dont want the Miis on the Wiimote just delete them off. These Miis will now show up in all Wii Sports games that have an audience.

Bowling Ball Color Change
You can select your bowling ball color before you bowl by using the directional pad. When you reach the screen warning, ‘Make sure nothing is around you’, hit the A button and hold the D-pad (until the alley UI appears) to choose your color:

UP = blue
LEFT = red
DOWN = green
RIGHT = yellow

Hint – Tennis Pro Tips
When playing tennis and building your skill level, you can quickly gain skill points by setting it up so that your Mii is both players on a single side. After orienting yourself to this type of gameplay (it takes some coordination), you will notice that your wins will earn you 40+ skill points each time – basically double what you would have gotten if you had played with the computer on your side.

To do this trick: When you select which type of game to play, “Single Game”, “Best of 3″, or “Best of 5″, it shows you which players are at which locations on the court. Your Mii’s default position is the left side server. On the same side, use the A Button and click on the figure standing at the net. It will change from the “?” shadow to your Mii (assuming you are playing alone). Then proceed to pick which duration of tennis you’d like to play.

Note that you should ensure that you win, otherwise you may be at risk to lose double the amount of skill points if you lose.

Hint – Baseball A.I. Exploit
The more skill points you accumulate, the harder it will be to beat the game A.I.

In order to get the pitcher for the A.I. to throw almost everything across the plate, you need to wear them out.

Take as many pitches as you can, working deep into each count. This trick doesn’t guarentee a win, but I have yet to get negative points.

When you see the pitcher begin to sweat, an exlamation point will appear over the pitcher’s head when a pitch is about to be thrown.

That means its coming right across the plate at 74 MPH. perfect home run ball if you hit the ball correctly. —————————————————————————

Among other things, you get a voucher for every 100 kills (up to 1,000). An easy way to rake in 10 vouchers is to look for swarms of small, explosive bugs that crawl around the levels after the Space Pirates attack. Just sit there and zap ‘em and you can get to 1,000 kills fairly quickly.

If you’re looking at the buttons from left to right, numbering them one through eight (for ease), insert the identical code Samus is given in the beginning of the game – 2-7-5-1. If entered correctly, a secret message from Nintendo’s very own Satoru Iwata plays in Japanese.
Hint: Shigeru Miyamoto’s Message
Whenever Samus is in her ship, open her computer terminal (where there are eight button options, each a mysterious symbol). If you’re looking at the buttons from left to right, numbering them one through eight (for ease), insert this code: 8-3-5-4. To execute this cheat, you’ll need 2 SD memory cards. Copy and save your game from your Wii to one card, and then go back to your game on one card and send out your Vouchers. After you receive your Vouchers in return, save your game to the other SD card (so that you have an old save and a current save). Whenever you want to send more Vouchers, just save your game to the current SD card, reload the old save game, and send out more. Then reload the current save to receive the Vouchers. In this way, you can easily get as many Friend Vouchers as you want.
Hint: Frozen Reptilian Voucher
To get a secret Friend Voucher, head to Bryyo and freeze the reptilian enemies that throw boomerangs at you. It requires great timing, but freeze them with your Ice Missiles when they throw a boomerang at you. The boomerang will come back at the reptilian foe and kill it. An on-screen message will confirm that you have indeed gotten the voucher.
Hint: Kenji Yamamoto’s Message
Whenever Samus is in her ship, open her computer terminal (where there are eight button options, each a mysterious symbol). If you’re looking at the buttons from left to right, numbering them one through eight (for ease), insert this code: 3-6-4-8. If entered correctly, a secret message from Nintendo’s very own Kenji Yamamoto plays in Japanese.
Hint – Stop The Boss
When Aurora Unit 313 is on the ground and spinning around, you can use the Screw Attack to stun it.
Hint: GFS Olympus Voucher
At the beginning of the game when you are on the GFS Olympus, head to where your gunship is sitting. Adjacent to the ship will be two beacons that, when shot, will head upwards in the air. With careful firing, you can juggle the two beacons in the air, shooting them higher and higher. If you manage to hit one twenty times in a row without missing or the beacon hitting the ground, you will be rewarded with a friend voucher.
Hint: Lever Friend Voucher
When you’re on Bryyo fighting the two anti-aircraft turrets, you can get a secret Friend Voucher. You will get it when destroying the second of the three turrets. You’ll need to pull three levers to open the fuel cells to destroy the device. If you manage to pull all three levers without a Space Pirate resetting any levers, you’ll receive a voucher for “Perfect Execution”.
Hint: Yoshio Sakamoto’s Message
Whenever Samus is in her ship, open her computer terminal (where there are eight button options, each a mysterious symbol). If you’re looking at the buttons from left to right, numbering them one through eight (for ease), insert this code: 4-6-1-7. If entered correctly, a secret message from Nintendo’s very own Yoshio Sakamoto plays in Japanese.
Hint: Quick Morph Ball Kills
To quickly kill 1,000 enemies (and achieve the Friend Voucher easily), try using the Morph Ball. The bugs that grab onto you as you scale walls can be destroyed with the bombs from the Morph Ball. Doing this continuously for a little while will net you 1,000 kills rather easily.
Easter Egg: Foreign Language Clues
There are two foreign language Easter Eggs in the game, both Dark Samus related. In the beginning, if you examine the life support system, the screen will fill with seemingly-random letters. It’s actually French, though, and reads “Vous mourez si votre resistance est forte,” which translates to “You die if your resistance is strong.” Near the end of the game, you will also find some German text, which reads “Kampfen Gandrayada, die Zahl von einer falschen freund.” This translates to “Fight Gandrayada, the figure of a false friend” (though the German is technically grammatically incorrect).

Hint – Striker’s Cup And Challenges
In the Waluigi and Diddy K challenges, try to score as many goals as you can before deliberately drawing the game (shoot into your own goal). This forces a sudden death (or shoot-off).

Since you only need to make one goal to win, use a Mega-Strike to complete the challenge.

For the Striker’s Cup, I recommend having a Dry Bones instead of Koopa or Toad probably Koopa. My team was Yoshi (Mario/Luigi is better), Dry Bones, Toad and Hammer Bros.

Dry Bones can score easily with the skillshot and can score better if you next to the fence and click the Z at least 2 times, then go to the place where the corner kick should be, go in the direction of the keeper and the disappear and shoot, its probably a goal if done correctely.

Toad is good because of jumps, try to pass by the keeper with a jump. You can also go to corner use jump and as soon as the keeper hits you pass the ball and if theres no one at the goal it should enter.

With Hammer Bros. use the hammer when someone is next to you and use the skillshot when near the keeper.

Mario/Luigi is good because of the power-up. Charge the ball and before shooting click on the d-pad (to jump), and repeat this till the ball is white then just shoot and it should be goal. Hes also good at shooting from far with the ball charged.

Hint – Time Drainer
If you’re ahead by a point and simply want to run down the clock (for whatever reason), have a defender take possession of the ball and stand in front of your own goalie.

When an opposing attacker tackles your defender and takes the ball, your goalie auto-tackles the attacker and takes the ball. From there you can pitch the ball back into play (to your own defender) and repeat the process.

Hint: Using Boo
Boo has the ability to quickly disappear and then reappear while managing to retain control of the ball. Try this as soon as you’re approaching a player on the opposing team to go directly through them. This even works, from time to time, on the opposing team’s goalie.
Hint: Item List
Below are a list of some of the items in the game, and what they do. Remember that not all items are beneficial!

 • Banana Peel – Trips any character who walks on it
 • Blue Shell – Bounces around field, freezes players
 • Bob-omb – Falls from the sky, damages all around it
 • Chain Chomp – Chases opposing team’s players
 • Green Shell – Bounces around field, injured players
 • Mushroom – Speeds up whoever eats it
 • Red Shell – Tracks other team’s player, injures them
 • Spine Shell – Bounces around field, smashes players
 • Star – Temporary invincibility

Unlockable: Hammer Whacker
Acquire a Golden Card found in a treasure chest in the back room of The Overthere in Flopside.
Unlockable: Infinite 3D
You must defeat Flopside Pit of 100 Trails twice and get Mario’s Card.
Hint – Easy Level Up Points (1-1)
In level 1-1, in the third section, there is a staircase with a koopa coming down. Stand on any of the steps, and as he nears the step above you, jump straight up and time it so you land on him. You will then bounce on him as the turtle shell ricochets back and forth. Your points will multiply ala level 3-1 of the original Super Mario Bros., but if you bounce on him more than 11 times (at 1,000 points), you will start to earn negative 1,000 for each bounce. You can earn a total of 5,500 points this way.Kick the shell after you get 1,000 and you will continue to accumulate points unpunished for every thing the shell hits. Flip into 3D and the shell will follow, so you can hit the hidden group of squiglets. Keep on following the shell as it ricochets back and forth throughout the level (you’ll need Dashell to keep up–otherwise the shell will disappear) and you can earn over 100,000 points in just a few minutes.
Hint – Easy Level Up Points (3-1)
Heres a way to get really fast and high score points. First you must have beaten world 3-1 (well do the whole chapter). Go back to world 3-1 after you have beaten it once and then you know where you meet bowser.Stay at the warp pipe where the level is you meet Bowser. Take out Throwae (how ever you spell it) and then run to the left. Stop on each of the soccer playing Koopa guys (don’t kill them). Then grab 1 of them. Take him all the way to the left and there should be the ending of the level and a pipe. Hide on the left side of that pipe and throw the koopa down there with you. Make him go in his shell and jump on him and he will start moving.

Jump on him every time he is underneath you. You will master it on youre second time around. He will give you 300 experience every time you jumpo on him and it will let you hit him for about 15 or more times. Making each experience for each koopa 4.5k or more each. And be sure to grabthem. Not the shells they kick at you.

Hint – HP Feeder (5-1)

Once, you’ve gotten the Pixl named Dottie, travel back to the Land of the Crag (Chapter 5-1). As soon as you enter the area you’ll be on top of a stone platform. Go all the way to the right of the screen. Go into 3-D and use Dottie to enter the small opening in the wall.Once in the secret area you’ll go down a pipe and collect a bunch of coins (hit A to see more coins) then exit out of the other pipe. Once you leave the pipe, walk to your right and a little creature called a Whacka should appear. If you jump on his head a Whacka Bump will come out.

These give you 30HP and if you go back into the pipe and come back he’ll reappear. You can get about seven or eight Whacka Bumps before he disappears for good. That’s at least 210 HP for free.

Hint – Piccolo Pixl
You must first have completed Chapter 5 to be able to complete this. First, go to Merlee’s house on the 2nd floor in Flopside. You have to jump over her crystal ball to talk to her, otherwise she’ll just offer you charms. She will send you on a fetch mission to Merluvlee on the 2nd floor of Flipside. From there, you will have to travel to World 1-1. You’re going to be using your Return Pipe quite a bit. Talk to Bestuvius at the end of the first area in 1-1. He’ll send you to talk to Watchitt in Yold Town.

Use your Return Pipe then go back into the red door to get to 1-2. Continue through the area until you get to the town. The third house is Watchitt’s. He will send you on your fourth fetch mission to see Merlumina.

Use the Return Pipe and go back to the red door. Choose to go to 1-4 and travel through the whole chapter. At the end (past where you fought Fracktail), you’ll go into a house and when you run towards the star Merlumina will appear. After a lengthy bit of text, she’ll sign the autograph and you can return to Watchitt in 1-2.

Then go back to 1-1 to give the “you-know-what” to Bestuvius, and then to Flipside to give the Training Machine, a Nintendo DS, to Merluvlee. Finally take the Crystal Ball from her to Merlee in Flopside and she’ll give you a key.

This key can be used on the locked door in Flopside. The door is on the 1st floor through the piece of the wall that you bombed earlier. Inside you’ll find Piccolo. There are only two place I have found to use him.

Go to the 2nd floor of Flipside, flip to 3D and go through the gate across from the White Tower. Instead of crossing the bridge, return to 2D and go to the left of the screen. You’ll see a pipe up above. Use Boomer to blast the bricks and enter it. You’ll now be on the 3rd floor of Flipside.

Piccolo can be used on the block with the music note, which is all the way to the right. You’ll get a Merlee card. In the same place in Flopside you’ll get a Nolrem card.

These are the only place I’ve found so far to use Piccolo.

Hint – The Rupees of 2-3
In chapter 2-3 when you break the vase and are asked for one million rubees you have to find a way to make them fast. There is a generator room that gives you small amounts of ruppes for jumping, and there is a room with a passcode. The passcode is 5963. After going into the room talk to the guy who pays you (he is in the far right of the room) and sign up to be a gerbil.

After doing this you will be sent into a huge ball where you run to make volts. You are paid if you stop and tell him that you are tired. But, instead of running yourself just get a heavy object (not too heavy) and have Mario (or Peach) go to the right of the circle. Put this heavy object on the left button (up if contoller isn’t sideways) and go do something else.

Come back later and stop, you have just gained many rubees without wasting valuable time.

Hint – World 2-3 Safe Combo
You broke a vase and now you have to come up with a million Rubees. Head down one floor from the prisoners and go down on level. Go forward and grab the slimming pixel, which lets Mario go into 2D in 3D mode (paper effect). Use this ability to access the vault safe at the bank: 41262816
Hint – One Time Cash Stash
For those of you that want coins fast, go to (5-1) or the land of Cragnons for this enricher you will have to have dottie, when you fall to the stone podium go all the way to the right ’till you hit a wall go into 3-D and use dottie to go through it, then go through the first pipe, collect coins and go out the next one to be on the elevated hill then the whacka will appear jump on him and a whacka fruit will come out. After that turn to 3-D and get the treasure chest it has a “important item” item and go out of that area now go the left of the level until you see a stone hut that has a mushroom sign go in and these whacka fruit sell for 150 coins you can keep hitting the Whacka eight times until he says, “I’m outta here!”.

That opportunity never comes up again but the coins you get are well over the maximum 999 Mario can carry. Two “bone breaking” installments should let you exploit this hapless run-down to the max.

Exploit – Coins and Amazy Dayzee
Unlock Flopside, beat chapter 5 and have 100 coins (to start the exploit) or some Catch Card SPs. This coin exploit lets you buy the rest of the treasure maps and enemy catch cards. If you don’t have 100 coins just beat chapter 1 again and defeat all enemies you’ll probably have 100 coins then.

With 100 coins, go to Flopside’s first floor through the blasted wall and enter the card shop called Fondest Hopes. Talk to the sales clerk at the counter and select “Buy a Catch Card SP” then say “yes” he’ll give you the card, then say “no” when he asks if you want more Catch Card SPs.

After you have a Catch Card SP, leave the shop use the return Pipe Merlon gave you in the beginning of the game which will return you to the top of Flipside Tower.

Go to the Light Blue door and select chapter 5-2. Go through the door at the end of the first stage (not chapter, but rather the area you first arrive in). Turn right and go past the pipe above your head past the next 3 pipes.

Next, enter the door next to the two blocks that is also next to a Cherbil. Clear the gap and you will come to a Stone Buzzy. Kill the Stone Buzzy, and where you land after you kill him flip the world to 3D.

Immediately you see a yellow flower enemy called an Amazy Dayzee. Quickly go to your quick menu by pressing 1 and 2 at the same time, use the Catch Card SP and turn the enemy into a card.

If the Amazy Dayzee flips to 2d do not use the catch card while in 3d, flip back to 2d and then use it.

Grab the card then use the return pipe again. Go back to the shop where you bought the Catch Card SP sell the Amazy Dayzee card it is worth a whopping 300 coins then you can buy 3 Catch Card SPs. Repeat ad nauseum.

Hint: Bonus Coins
Whenever you get possession of Whacka Bumps, bring them to the chef in Flipside. She’ll cook them up (making them Roasted Whacka Bumps), and increase their value by 50 coins, from 150 coins to 200 coins. (unverified)
Hint: Money For Free
Here’s an interesting way to slowly but surely make money, for free. Simply buy the Long-Last Shake for thirty coins from Howzit. Then, have Saffron cook them into Fried Shroom Plates. You can sell these for thirty-five coins. Repeat the process to make money, for free!
Hint: Free Coins!
Defeat the fifth level (Rock Level) and obtain 100 coins or 300 coins (depending on how quickly you want to gain your free coins). After beating the fifth level with the proper amount of coins, head to the Flipside Store and buy either one Gold Bar or three (for 100 or 300 coins). With those in hand, head to level 5-1 and go left at the beginning of the level. Enter the Rock Shop you encounter and sell your Gold Bars to the guy there for 15 coins more than you purchased them for. From him you can then buy Puzzle Boxes for three coins and sell them to the Flipside/Flopside Stores for 5 coins (netting +2 coins per box). This is a great way to earn cash in the game.
Hint: Fast Experience, Coins, and Items
Head to Chapter 5-4. Travel through the first section to the metal door, which you should go through. In the second area, head past the save point. You will drop down a level, and there will be a ? block down below. On the block, Helper Marios can be collected. Then, jump onto the block and edge towards the nearby tube releasing Floro Sapiens. Switch to the Bommer (Pixi), drop him, and wait until the head detaches. This will eliminate the enemy for 600 experience, plus coins and dropped items. This seems to be a much more effective way of raising experience than jumping on shells.
